Balon Corporation, an Oklahoma-based company designing and
manufacturing valve products for the oil and gas industry since 1965,
is seeking a Safety Representative to add to our Safety team. We run a
single day-time shift and offer competitive pay and an excellent benefits package.
Skills, Responsibilities, and Qualifications:
Required Experience:
• Training, overseeing, and/or administering health, safety and environmental programs – preferably 5 to 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Environmental reporting such as stormwater permitting, emissions reporting to ODEQ, and TRI reporting to the EPA
• Applying basic OSHA standards applicable to a manufacturing work environment
• Training others on safety programs such as SDS recordkeeping requirements, forklift operation, first aid, and machine guarding
• Ability to prepare presentations, reports, policies, and procedures using Microsoft Office Software
Skills and Attributes:
• Collaborative mindset, initiative, and willingness to learn new things.
• Ability to communicate well with others and conduct training on various EHS subjects
• Ability and willingness to work 6-4:30 M-F with additional times as needed and dependent on schedule.
• Frequent lifting of materials up to 50 pounds.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Customer satisfaction-oriented, with a focus on delivering quality solutions that meet business needs.
